SAMPARK started functioning in 1998 and was registered by the Government of India in 2005 under the Indian Trust Act 1882. It is a leading socio-cultural voluntary organization based in Puri, Odisha, India. Also, it is dedicated to empowering underserved youth, women, and farmers by providing sustainable livelihood opportunities and fostering responsible citizenship.

Vision

The vision of 'Samprak' is to recognize the role of underserved youth, women, and farmers in nation-building by facilitating and empowering them to be self-reliant, skilled, and become contributors to society and the nation.

Mission

To empower 1 million youth, women, and farmers with agency and sustainable livelihoods, driving socio-economic, environmental, and spiritual transformation in 1,000 communities to build a self-reliant India.

 

Organization's Objectives

Main Objective

The main objective is to contribute to empower underserved youth, women, and farmers to become self-reliant, skilled contributors to society and the nation, ultimately aiming for socio-economic, environmental, and spiritual transformation in communities across India.

Specific Objectives

  • To gain a greater understanding of professional development issues and explore possible solutions through quality research and development, keeping the focus on youths, women, and farmers;
  • To promote quality research and research communications towards the development of evidence-based policy and practice in the field of youths, women, and farmers;
  • To review and analyze the policies and programs' effectiveness at local and national levels and understand their implications in professional services and social development;
  • To ensure functional linkage and collaboration among policymakers, program managers, researchers, social scientists, and institutions with similar objectives, with a view to the institutionalization of program-based operational research in youths, women, and farmers programs;
  • To enhance access to information on youths, women, and farmers and social development sector for policymakers and practitioners;
  • To involve youths, women, and farmers in the field of health, education, environment, and economic activities, national integration, and programs;
  • To support government initiatives in the field of youth involvement, youth development, and youth-related policies.
